TAMPA GROUP MEETING FOR APRIL

Greetings everyone,

I'm alerting you sooner than normal about our April 21st meeting because our guest speaker is Bo Savino, who is Editor-in-Chief of Koboca Publishing. She'll talk about why manuscripts are accepted/rejected and take questions thereafter for a total speaking time of forty-five minutes.

What's really cool is following her talk, Bo will READ MANUSCRIPTS ON THE SPOT. Do you want to be a published author? Do you want to find out the inside scoop about what works and what doesn't? Do you want to make a connection for the future, particularly if your manuscript is a work in progress? If you've answered yes to any or all of the above questions, I urge you to come to our meeting.

INSTRUCTIONS: READ CAREFULLY
To have your manuscript read, you must be a FWA member in good standing.
To have your manuscript read, you must have a number. Respond as quickly as possible because news has leaked out of Bo Savino's coming. Numbers are being scarfed up. If you want your manuscript read, please contact either Julia Thornbrough, The Tampa Group Leader at
jthornbrough@tampabay.rr.com or Kaye Coppersmith, our resident editor of FWA at sunnyskyes@earthlink.net.
Bring only the first five pages of your manuscript. If Bo wants more, she'll ask you to send it along with a query letter and synopsis.

On the cover page of your manuscript, type your genre. Drop down a few lines and type, couble-spaced in a 12 point Courier or Times New Roman font, a three to five sentence blurb (think 30 second pitch) covering what your books' about.

Bo Savino will allot five (5) minutes per manuscript. We'll have a stop watch and someone will call time.
